This focus was towards enhancing the filtering capabilities within the Triton platform, providing users with more refined control over search results. The task involved expanding filter options and redesigning the filter interface for improved usability and consistency. 

Improvements

Update Filter Sidebar

  • Redesigned the left-side filter sidebar on the search results page to match Seamless Horizon's filter button and filter search bar design.

  • Displayed the number of filters selected for each filter category on the filter button for easy removal of applied filters.

  • Limited "entity type" and "country" as the only filters available for selection for "person" and "company" entities, with additional filters becoming available when "vessel" entity types are selected.

  • Added an "apply" button for finalizing filter selections.

Filter Modal Redesign

  • Updated filter behavior for the homepage search bar, integrating filter options into a modal for improved accessibility and clarity.

Additional Fleet Tags

  • Included additional fleet tags for enhanced categorization and search refinement.

Sanction Filter Option

  • Added a filter for sanction status, enabling users to refine search results based on sanction designations.

Update Filter Options for Gear Type/Ship Type

  • Improved filter options for gear type and ship type to provide more accurate and relevant search results.

Bug Fixes

Fix Filtering

  • Addressed inconsistency in current filtering behavior, ensuring that searches yield relevant results even when no filters or checkboxes are applied.

  • Standardized behavior to search everything when no filters or checkboxes are selected, providing a more consistent and intuitive user experience.
